The Road Less Traveled

I am on a quest to be healthier. I am trying to lose weight, to exercise more, to eat better.   Folks who know me well will tell you this is nothing new. In fact, I've been on this quest for most of my adult life, at least for the past 20 years or so. I've had varying ...

Lord's Acre Auction Items

You have what we need!  We are seeking donations for the Lord's Acre auction. You, or someone you know, has a new item that's waiting to be donated! Items can range in value from small gift cards to week long condo/cabin getaways.  Please contact Erica Gantt (571-419-1161, Silent Auction) or Linda Belota (817-505-9691, Live Auction) with your donations.   All proceeds from the Lord's Acre fund our local missions for the next year.  Donations are tax deductible.
Director of Children's Ministry

It is with sadness that we announce that Jennifer McDaniel, Director of Children's Ministries, will be leaving us in the coming weeks.  Jennifer's husband, Clay, has accepted a position in Savannah, Georgia, and the family will be relocating this fall.  We give thanks to God for the ministry that Jennifer has shared with our children and their families, and we will making plans to properly celebrate that ministry in the next few weeks.  In the meantime, the Staff-Parish Relations Committee will begin a search for Jennifer's replacement.

New Sermon Series

Sunday, August 26th
Awe & Wonder:  The Bible Through a Child's Eye
A new fall sermon series begins on August 26 as our students prepare to head back to school.  Awe & Wonder:  The Bible Through a Child's Eye will explore some of the most loved Bible stories, and those stories will be told by our children.  The kids have been working all summer telling these stories, and you won't want to miss seeing the fruits of their labor.

On the Go Devo

Sometimes life keeps you away from church on Sunday, but that doesn't mean you have to miss out.  Our weekly ON THE GO DEVO keeps you talking about what your church family is talking about, even if you can't be here.  You can subscribe to have the DEVO delivered to your mobile device each week by texting ONTHEGO to 68398.

Are you taking advantage of electronic giving?
When we join the church, we pledge to support the life and ministry of the church with our financial gifts. That can get complicated on those weeks when we can't be here as the offering plate comes around. But through electronic giving, you remain faithful to your membership vows, even on those weeks when life takes you elsewhere. It's easy. It's safe. And it benefits both you and your church family. Setting it up is easy and only takes a few minutes. Contact Shari Birchell at [email protected] to set up an automatic transfer from your checking account. Or go to aledoumc.org/give to use your credit or debit card.
