Kenneth Hoke: Legacy of Service
On behalf of the BIC U.S. family, we express our deepest gratitude for Bishop Kenneth Hoke's years of servant leadership. Ken retired as Susquehanna Conference bishop, July 31, 2018, with Bob Beaty as his successor. For nearly 50 years, Ken has led our denomination with a pastor's heart. Read more »

Reaffirming Women in Ministry - Shalom! A Journal for the Practice of Reconciliation
More than 200 participants celebrated women in ministry leadership at the Awaken Seminar, July 13, 2018. Preparing for the event, Shalom! published a spring 2018 edition focusing on women in ministry leadership. BIC U.S. World Missions Welcomes New Regional Administrator  
This June, BIC U.S. World Missions was privileged to welcome John Reitz as regional administrator for Europe and the Middle East, following John Hawbaker's retirement earlier this year. "With experiences in BIC U.S. World Missions leadership, service overseas, counseling, and church planting, John has incredible gifts and grounded perspectives," said Jonathan Lloyd, director of BIC U.S. World Missions. Whether you're a volunteer, leader, pastor, or someone simply wanting to expand your biblical knowledge base, consider participating in the BIC U.S.' Directed Study Program (DSP). The DSP consists of email-delivered courses designed to be flexible, relational, practical, and affordable. BIC U.S. World Missions Deploys Allison Conrad
In partnership with U.S. congregations and individuals, we celebrate that Allison Conrad deployed to Bogotá, Colombia, July 11, 2018, to teach at El Camino Academy this academic year. Allison first discovered El Camino Academy (ECA) on a college missions trip - and the school's mission to impact the next generation for Jesus Christ resonated with Allison. Read more »
BIC U.S. World Missions Deploys Tony and Veronica Beers
In partnership with U.S. congregations and individuals, we celebrate that Tony and Veronica Beers, along with their daughters Lilliana and Natasha, deployed to Zambia, July 18, 2018, for a three-year term. Professionals in engineering and nursing, they will be conducting water and agricultural projects and providing healthcare in partnership with the Zambian BIC Church. Read more »
