Family Camping Weekend at Bellwether Farm 
Come visit Bellwether Farm for a Family Camping Weekend on 
August 24-26 or  September 7-9 The weekend will include: a  family cook-off, p ond activities, a  tour of the property, a  dance, a  bon-fire,  Sunday morning worship, a  service project, f ield games, and five  meals.

The weekend will be $150 for a family of four and $25 extra per additional person.  There is a limit of 15 families per weekend.  Contact Camp Director Brandon Gooch at  [email protected]  with any questions. 
Lay and Clergy Leadership Conference
The 2018 Lay and Clergy Leadership Conference will be held at Bellwether Farm on September 22 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The theme of this year's conference is "Riding Backwards Bicycles: Practical Ways to Join God's Work" and the speaker is Michael Binder. The conference is $25 per person, or $10 per person for a team of four or more. Registration is now open.

The Commission for Racial Understanding (CRU) has released their  August resources.
PARISH EVENTS
Alice Active Live Shooter Training  
ALICE Training Institute®, a leading active shooter response training company, will be holding a hands-on class at St. Paul's, Medina on Wednesday,  August 15  at 6:30 p.m. This  training  will empower trainees to participate in their own survival if an active shooter comes into their church or house of worship. We believe this training will be of special interest to clergy, worship ministers and assistants, and congregational leadership.
 
The cost is $20 per person. Participants may  register in advance.
Frankfurter Fridays at Church of the Ascension 
Join the Church of the Ascension, Lakewood for   free 100% Beef Hotdogs and fun for all ages. Cornhole, frisbee, croquet, and kids lawn activities will also be available on the front lawn from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, and continuing every other Friday throughout the summer. 
Meet the New Priest-in-Charge at St. Andrew's, Cleveland
The vestry and congregation of the Historic St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Cleveland, invite you to two events:  the first Sunday service for the Rev. Sharon E. Williams, our new Priest-in-Charge, on Sunday, August 19 at 9:30 a.m. with a reception to follow; and the more formal Beginning of New Ministry Service on Friday, October 19  at 5:30 p.m. 
Sanctuary Concert VIII
St. Andrew's, Mentor is hosting a Sanctuary Concert on August 19 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.  Come immerse yourself in original music performed by some of Northeastern Ohio's finest singer/songwriters. Enjoy authentic Mexican food and community. All proceeds benefit Laura, Jose, and Joshua who have been in sanctuary at St. Andrew's since October 2017. All are welcome. Come as you are, give what you can, and share the love!
