Presentation at the AOSW 34th Annual Conference: CoC Patient Navigation Process and the Oncology Social Worker
The Commission on Cancer's Patient Navigation Process Standard requires a triennial Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to assess the community's health care disparities, resources and barriers. Oncology social workers have the critical skills needed to be key members of this process. Workshop presenters at the Association of Oncology Social Work (AOSW) 34th annual conference will discuss the critical role of the social worker in creating and using their CHNA and developing a Patient Navigation Process for their cancer program. A
