General Membership Meeting
 
Due to the inclement weather forecast tomorrow evening, we will cancel the Alumni Association's General Meeting. Our next meeting will be Thursday, January 11, 2018. Please join us for our 3rd Annual Winter Social on Friday, December 29th. For more information, please contact us at 504-364-4444.

McDonogh 35 Alumni Association 3rd Annual Winter Social

The McDonogh 35 3rd Annual Alumni Winter Social is scheduled for Friday, December 29, 2017, at Sha Jollies Banquet Hall, 6940 Martin Drive, 8 pm - 12:00 Midnight. The event is sponsored by the Alumni Association and ALL are invited (whether they are a McDonogh 35 graduate or not). Our last year's event was a success and everyone had a great time!!!!! Click here to purchase $25 pre-sale tickets.  



Wall of Fame

The McDonogh 35 Senior High School Centennial Celebration Committee will honor a number of graduates - for their personal and professional achievements that represent the legacy for which McDonogh 35 Senior High School is noted.    Click here to see the  Wall of Fame criteria  and  Wall of Fame nomination forms .   Forms can be submitted by class or family members. All nomination forms must be postmarked or emailed to  mcdonogh35alumniassociation@yahoo.com  by  December 31, 2017.  Once confirmed by the Centennial Nomination Review Committee, a nominal fee of $100 (per honoree) is required.  The fee will defray the cost of the "Wall of Fame" display and honorees' name plate. Only forty-eight (48) honorees will be confirmed.   Click here for a list of the existing fifty-two (52) "Wall of Fame" honorees.

Centennial Celebration

The Centennial Celebration Committee is planning monthly activities for McDonogh 35 100th year celebration.  Fundraisers and other activities are ongoing.  For more information or to participate on this committee please email [email protected].

Roneagle in the Spotlight 
 


Waymon Morris is a class of 2001 graduate of Mc Donogh
35 Senior High School.  While at 35, Waymon was a member of  the marching and concert bands, where he served as trumpet  section leader and drum major.  He attended Grambling State  University.  Waymon started his career in hospitality at  Jazzland Theme Park/Six Flags New Orleans in Park Operations  and Human Resources.  He spent 10 years in the hotel  industry working in various roles with Starwood Hotels and  Resorts.  Waymon is currently the Director of Recreational  Services at New Orleans City Park where he oversees the  park's recreational activities, such as the amusement  park, City Putt Miniature Golf and Biking and Boating  Rentals.  

He is passionate about helping young adults  (especially graduates of his Alma Mater) enter the workforce  and teaching them business lessons to help them become  successful.

The Association's Fiscal Year is from October 1- September 30. You may now pay your 2017-18 Alumni Dues via PayPal. Yearly Membership dues are $35 and Lifetime Membership dues are $350. Lifetime Membership dues may also be paid in five $70 installment payments. Also when you pay please put your graduating year in the comment section (and, if you are paying with your business account, your first & last name as well).  Please pay by clicking on the appropriate PayPal button below.

*Pins can be picked up at General Meetings in New Orleans, Dallas, or DC.  Lifetime Membership cards will be mailed to the address on file within 30 days.  
 
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS MUST BE PAID IN THE SAME FISCAL YEAR. IF INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS ARE NOT RECEIVED BY SEPT. 30, 2018,  THE PAYMENTS MADE, LESS 17-18, DUES WILL BE REALLOCATED TO SCHOLARSHIPS.
