It Feels Good to Be Back
Thank you to the whole Impact Jiu Jitsu community for your support
All Impact Jiu Jitsu locations are currently in different stages of reopening (or getting ready to reopen). We all greatly appreciate our members' support and encouragement during these crazy times. Thank you for being patient as we navigate our schedules and offerings and work toward getting back to normal as time allows.

To those of you who have made it in for class in Beaverton and Clackamas, thank you for following the distancing, cleaning and additional guidelines designed to help keep everyone safe. You may have noticed our smaller class sizes and shorter class times. Smaller class sizes allow us to maintain proper distancing, while shorter class times gives us the needed time for cleaning between each session and the opportunity to add additional class times as more students return to the academy. We anticipate that this new format will continue until Oregon enters Phase 3 of reopening.

If you haven't made it back in yet, please read below on what to expect when you return, and email us if you have any questions or concerns. We can't wait to see you!

YOUTH CLASSES REMAIN ONLINE
Kids, continue to take our online classes offered five days a week. The class links are listed below. As we ease into reopening, we will announce plans on bringing these classes back onsite. If your child has taken time off, now's the time to start back up.
If You Have Symptoms, Stay Home

If you are ill or have any symptoms associated with COVID-19 (cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of sense of taste or smell), stay home, contact your healthcare provider and wait to return until you are symptom free (without the use of medication) for at least 72 hours.

If you have been in close contact with anyone with these symptoms or anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, please contact your healthcare provider. Do not return to the academy until you have been approved by your healthcare provider.

Bringing Our Community Back Together Safely
CLASS FORMAT
  • All youth classes will remain online-only as we ease into Phase 1.
  • Our onsite adult kickboxing, striking and fitness classes will all be done individually (no partner drills) to maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance between participants.
  • All students will stick to their designated training areas during class and will avoid sharing equipment.
  • We will offer "Co-Quarantiner" classes. A Co-Quarantiner is someone you have maintained close contact with during quarantine, such as your spouse, partner, roommate, or sibling. You will enroll for class with this partner and work together the entire class within your designated training area. You are expected to pair with the same partner each time you attend. Exceptions include family members who all do Jiu Jitsu (i.e. mom can partner with dad one day, then partner with son on another day).

FACILITY
  • Only participating students and staff will be allowed in the building (no visitors, children or spectators).
  • Upon entering the academy, all attendees will use hand sanitizing station located in the entryway.
  • Before entering the training floor, all students and staff will be required to read and agree to health guidelines.
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available in addition to hand washing.
  • Everyone is reminded to maintain a minimum of 6 feet social distance.
  • All mat surfaces will be sanitized before and after every use, as will all fitness equipment.
  • All shared spaces and surfaces will be cleaned regularly to meet the guidelines outlined by the Oregon Health Authority.
  • Showers will remain closed; loaner gis and gloves will not be provided until further notice.

STUDENTS
  • Phase 1 participation will be limited to adult active and returning members and punch card holders.
  • Students should bring their own mask and pre-filled water bottle.
  • During Phase 1 we will suspend free trial memberships.
  • If you have paused your membership, please email Tracy Chapman to resume where you left off.
