UCIE Staff Spotlight: Ahmed Abualrahi
My name is Ahmed Abualrahi from an island in Saudi Arabia called “Tarout island”. A lot of you has seen me already in the UCIE, I’m one of the International Check-in Coordinators here. My major is Industrial and Human Factors Engineering with a focus in Supply Chain. I have been in the United States since 2012. I started like many of you in the English program and it was very interesting. I was excited to meet people from around the world and learn about their culture especially since it’s my first time leaving my country. There were some difficulties in the beginning but none of which cannot be overcome. I did my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University and moved to Dayton last Fall to do my Masters. The UCIE staff are here to help you with anything you need so don’t feel like a stranger, this is your second home. Here is a picture of me in Colorado mountains.

TIP OF THE WEEK!
Carillon Historical Park
If you want to immerse yourself in the city’s history and enjoy some fresh air, a trip to Carillon Historical Park is a must. During fall, the park holds a variety of tavern dinners for the public, and all meals are made on authentic hearths, in Newcom Tavern, the city’s oldest existing building.

Visit, take pictures and let us know what you think.

Do you want to be featured in our weekly newsletter? Send us pictures of fun places you have visited like restaurants, arcades, sights, museums, different cities and states etc and we will include them in our future newsletters.
