Seeking the Curious & Innovative!

The Grand Forks Public Library is searching for a Marketing and Communication Manager who will enable us to continue innovating, evolving, and working to bring library service to the next level. It’s an exciting time at the Grand Forks Public Library and the perfect time for you to join our team!

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of all the library’s branding, marketing, website and communication activities. This experienced professional will report to, and work closely with, the Library Director. The person will have an understanding of and passion for marketing communications, as well as the ability to hold a discipline of the brand together across all of the organization’s activities, large and small. The goal is to increase the library’s profile in the community and break through commonly held perceptions of libraries. This requires innovation, collaboration, and imagination.
Inter-library Loan Unavailable

The Grand Forks Public Library is updating their patron and operating system from the current Aleph System to a new Polaris System, this transition will happen in December of 2019. In preparation for this transition Inter Library Loan will be suspended starting November 1st through Decmeber 31st, in order to ensure that our collection and patron records are all in their correct location and the transfer over of information can happen correctly.

Updates come to the Library!

In mid to late November you will begin to notice some empty shelves and some overly crowded shelves as we prepare to put new carpet in the main floor of the library. In order to limit the cost of moving our shelves we are condensing our collection down to as few shelves as possible. Once the new carpet is in we will re expand the collection back out.

During the update to our main floor we fully intent to have all items available throughout the process, however some things may be in temporary new places. We invite you to check our website for updates and changes.

Around the Community
Members of the Grand Forks Community are working to establish a FIRST Robotics Team.

FIRST Robotics is the next step higher than the library's very popular FIRST Lego League. Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.”
We are putting out a call to all those who may be interested in participating in a FIRST Robotics team.

Those interested can click the link below by NOVEMBER 7th, and they will receive more information regarding the team and how to officially sign up for the team. Please note this is NOT a registration form, simply a call for interest.
