Day Camps are in action across our council and teen Girl Scouts are learning valuable leadership skills, taking on leadership roles, and teaching their younger Girl Scout sisters. As troops get ready to close out this camp season, they are looking forward to next year and the new Aquatics Center - the energy level is high and the excitement contagious! Cookie Sales Become a Day at the K for Girls!
Cookie sales turn into unforgettable experiences!
Day at the K is an annual tradition that rewards girls for outstanding entrepreneurship through the Girl Scout Cookie Program. For any Girl Scout that sells 300+ boxes, she receives 2 tickets to Day at the K to cheer on our hometown KC Royals!
This year, more than 10,000 Girl Scouts and families joined us to root, root, root for the home team!
The first pitch and first catch were completed by 2018 Gold Award Girl Scouts AND top cookie sellers, Tehya Frederick from KCMO and Kresynda Robinson from Olathe, KS! The Buck O'Neil Legacy Seat was occupied by Gold Award Girl Scout, Taylor Edwards from Lansing, KS! Talk about some impressive Girl Scouts in the crowd.

Growing Up at Camp Prairie Schooner
Troop 3389 from Lenexa, KS has grown up GS strong at camp!
From Daisies to Seniors, Troop 3389 has been growing up through Girl Scouting at Camp Prairie Schooner. Crystal Hoopes and Susanne Neely are the co-leaders who help these Girl Scouts grow through leadership experiences - especially at Day Camp.
Troop 3389 is from SU 637 and are part of teen leadership at camp, which means helping young Girl Scouts learn through challenges - like swimming. With a deteriorating pool area, changing house and latrines, these Girl Scouts couldn't be more ready for exciting adventures in a new Aquatics Center.
