Back to School Social Appreciations
Thank you to all our Roadrunner families who came out to kick off the new school year at the Walnut Grove Back to School Social on Friday evening. The company was fun and happy, and turnout was so remarkable that we're looking forward to growing the event and offering even more fun in the future.
Special thanks to our WGPTA VP of Hospitality, Veena Kulkarni, for coordinating this special event, and to Carrie Williams, WGPTA VP of Fundraising, for working to secure vendors for the event: Namaste Pizza, Mustache Mike's, and Limelight Faces.

PTA Ongoing Projects Update
Legacy Bricks:
Today's the day! After many months of planning and coordination, Walnut Grove's legacy bricks are going in the ground in front of the MPR. Be sure to check out the lovely new installation next time you're on campus. If you placed your order, go find yours!
Special thanks to Heather Humphries, Lisa Williams, and Soojin Hwang for all their efforts to bring the idea to fruition, and to Bras & Mattos Monument Company for their stellar work. Thanks so much-- it looks beautiful!
Water Fountain:
The waiting is the hardest part! The PTA successfully raised funds by the end of last school year to install a new filtered-water fountain at WG. Because installation will occur on PUSD-owned property, the PTA is still waiting for a district update on the project status. When the update arrives, we will share anticipated dates with the community. Thanks for your patience and your continued hydration of your Roadrunners!

Run Club
Come run with the Roadrunners!
All students are welcome to join us on Fridays at 7:30 am on the blacktop, by the garden. We do a quick stretch and run/walk for 20 minutes and finish up in plenty of time to make it to class at 8:15. Parents, please come with your child the first time, as there is a waiver to sign and information to be collected. There is no fee to participate.

Yearbook Purchases
Did you purchase your yearbook yet?? If not, please keep reading for important ordering information...
We have a new yearbook ordering process this year!!!
All yearbook orders must be done online directly through our yearbook vendor!
Books will be available to purchase through April, and they will still be sent to Walnut Grove and delivered to students in the classroom during the last week of school. We will not have any extra yearbooks to sell at the school at the end of the year, so buy yours now!
Books are $25.00 for soft cover, or a hard cover book for $32.00.

School Supply Kits
Have you donated for your child's school supply kit? If not, we are still accepting donations.
All Roadrunners received supplies in their classrooms on the first day of school. The PTA helps supply these school kits to every student, and if you'd like to donate to cover the cost for your child, we appreciate it. You may do so by visiting our
online FutureFund store and selecting the applicable grade level supply kit for your child.

Mixed Bag Designs Fundraiser
There is still time to help Support the 4th Grade Coloma Trip!
The 4th graders are doing a Mixed Bags fundraiser to raise necessary funds for their trip to Coloma. You can help by purchasing eco-friendly tote bags, wrapping paper, kitchenware & more!
The fundraiser runs through September 7th. You can purchase items through a Walnut Grove 4th grader, or online using the link below.
