Ladder Safety Training
is an online resource highlighting proper selection, care and safe use of all four ladder types. This training outlines safe ladder practices in all applications, such as construction/painting, building and custodial services, warehousing, power, manufacturing, chemical and petrochemical, oil and gas, and at home.
If 20 or more unique individuals receive a score of 90% or greater on at least one Ladder Safety Training module, your institution will be recognized as an ALI Safety Ambassador and featured on our website. In addition, you will receive an official ALI Safety Ambassador logo for use on your website and social media channels. The ALI Safety Ambassador Program publicly demonstrates your institution's commitment to ladder safety.

Ladder Safety Tip
There are five common household ladders: stepstools, A-frame ladders, platform, extension and articulated ladders that are used for a variety of different projects and tasks both inside and outside of the house. Stepstools, A-frame and platform ladders are largely used for indoors projects such as reaching atop of a cabinet or changing a lightbulb, whereas the extension or articulated ladder is ideal for outdoor tasks. Because each ladder type has a different height, structure and purpose, it is important to know whether or not your ladder fits the job in order to reduce the risk of ladder-related injuries. Learn more about ladder types here.
