Dear LIS Friend,

With the 4th of July approaching, I am reminded of the “independence” I felt when I experienced the Spiritual Exercises. And how, many years later, I still lean into the freedom I gained from the retreat. The grace of discovering an inner freedom led to increased self-acceptance. God’s personal love for me sent me free-falling in love with him and made me bubble over with love for others. I couldn’t keep this freedom of living and loving to myself and was eager to converse with anyone who God put before me! The desire to connect to share with and to learn from others, continues to bless me with a renewed sense of belonging to the body of Christ.

Today, more than at any time of my life, I want to share the encounter I (and many around the world) have experienced through Ignatian spirituality. Please join us during the month of July to get a glimpse of what Loyola Institute for Spirituality offers. Our goal is to provide opportunities for all to encounter a freedom to live and love in Christ’s peace, especially during this time in our nation. We can’t keep these spiritual fruits to ourselves and invite you to see for yourself!

Peace and Blessings,

Lori Stanley
