A TI GAME FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Who Stole the Torah? A Temple Israel Whodunnit

During the Coronavirus lockdown, Dan Deutsch went to check on the Torah scrolls and found one missing! Please help us figure out who stole the Torah so it can get returned in time for Tali’s adult bat mitzvah. There are many potential suspects and everyone seems to have a motive. We need your help to solve this mystery.

How to play? Each week, participants will receive materials relevant to the investigation via email. Participants will sort through these clues and use them to solve the crime. This game is fun for the whole family! Learn more on Facebook here.
MEMORIAL PLAQUES
A way to remember a loved one is to dedicate a memorial plaque in his or her memory. Once a plaque is ordered, Temple Israel will perpetually read the name of the deceased during Shabbat services on Friday evening and Saturday morning of the anniversary of death. A contribution of $650 to the Temple Israel Endowment Fund will secure a plaque in either the Alcove or on the Menorah. For further information, please contact Sue Misselbeck .

Thursday, July 9 at 1:00 p.m.
Led by Meri Cayem and Bob McCorkle

Rules for Visiting by Jessica Francis Kane. In Rules for Visiting a prickly 40-year-old gardener uses a windfall to go on a journey of self-discovery while visiting four old friends. Both the protagonist and the reader will explore the importance of connection and friendship while illuminating the reality and myth of our memories. Though the book is humorous, the author takes a thoughtful look at friendships over time.
