Why We Fundraise

We provide our products and services to breast cancer survivors, regardless of their ability to pay.

Every donation makes a difference.  Here's where your money goes:
  • $50 provides a specialty bra
  • $60 provides a post-surgical garment
  • $85 provides a Lymphedema garment
  • $150 provides a wig
  • $200 provides a prosthesis
Post-surgical products are essential and costly, and most survivors require several post-surgical products to support their recovery and well-being -- at costs averaging between $300-400.

Please join us in making  a difference for under-served patients. Your gift will ensure that their health and well-being needs are fulfilled.

"HERS" stands for:

HOPE: Belief in a promising future.
EMPOWERMENT: Strength and knowledge for the journey ahead.
RENEWAL: Restored self image and physical healing.
SUPPORT: A community of compassion, aid, and advocacy.

Our programs make a real difference to survivors. We love receiving notes like this recent one sent to Pam, one of our Breast Care Specialists:

Hi Pam,

Thank you again for helping me yesterday  with fitting me for the arm compression garments... I so appreciate your help and the kindness of the HERS Foundation.

I will donate for the rest of my life.

Thank you,
Kristina

Breast Cancer Awareness Month:
Use Our New Calendar to Keep Up!

Every year, right on the heels of our Annual Walk/Run, we celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month with an awe-inspiring list of outreach and fundraising events. We are so blessed with community supporters -- local businesses, volunteers, and donors show up to support us throughout the month of October. We hope to see you out there!

Be sure to check our  NEW EVENT CALENDAR to see where we'll be popping up next. These fun fundraisers are a great excuse to skip cooking, go shopping, grab a drink with friends, or try something new!

Making HERStory

Our very special HERS History ("HERStory) quilt is now installed at our ValleyCare store in P leasanton. In the photo is  Nancy Little, dedicated HERS volunteer. Nancy was instrumental in getting the quilt project going.

The quilt, which incorporates every t-shirt from our past Walk/Run events, was displayed at our  20th Anniversary celebration and People with Purpose gala held in April 2018.

It's now gracing our Pleasanton store thanks to Nancy, staff member Pam Condy, and our facilities friends at Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare. Please pay us a visit and check out this beautiful piece of HERStory.

The store is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am-5pm.
