2018 Gala Announced!
June 15, 2018
We are very excited to announce that this year's gala will be held on June 15th at the Woodlands Inn and Resort. Volunteers in Medicine will be celebrating it's 10 year anniversary and you won't want to miss this extra special event! We will be sending out invitations and providing more information in the upcoming weeks.
Volunteers Needed:
Physical Therapist and Dental Assistants
We are in dental assistants and physical therapist volunteers. Our dental clinic has increased visits with Dr. Singh on board in collaboration with our dedicated volunteer dentists. The Clinic is in need of dental assistants to help combat the waiting list of patients in dire need of dental treatment.

The Clinic has a chiropractor and massage therapist offering therapy services. Currently, physical therapy is available through a partnership with Misericordia at their campus. VIM is in interested in recruiting a volunteer PT to treat patients at the VIM facility. Please spread the word and let Kelly Ranieli aware of anyone that may be interested in providing this much needed service.
Welcome to Our Newest Students and Volunteers!
Coutney Stefanik is our newest King's College PA student, and we are happy to have her! Courtney is originally from Buffalo, NY and will be graduating from the King's PA program this August. She is interested in returning to her hometown of Buffalo and practicing in pediatrics. She was drawn to the Physician Assistant field because of its flexibility and opportunity to choose specialties. Welcome, Courtney!
Dr. Anand Sewak of Dallas, PA is completing his residency as part of Geisinger's Family Medicine Residency Program. He hopes to practice rural medicine and would like to stay in Pennsylvania. Dr. Sewak was attracted to donating some of his residency time at VIM as he likes to give back to the community and appreciates free clinics like VIM!
Dr. Kristin Simmons is in her third year of residency at the Geisinger Family Medicine Residency. She is originally from Taylor, PA and was happy to spend time at the clinic as she believes that VIM is a great program that offers medical care to the working poor who otherwise would not be able to have medical services. We appreciate your help, Dr. Simmons!
VIM Awarded Grant from The AppleSeed Partnership Foundation
VIM is proud to announce that we have been awarded a $35,000 grant to establish a Health Equity program . This program will track the social needs of our patients in the domains of transportation, employment, food, and housing .
