Week of June 28, 2020
As we seek to continue to keep connected as a church family even while apart from one another, below you will find several ways to participate in worship, prayer, and service with others from HBIC. We invite you to join us in any of these various ways this week!

There's also some important "announcement-type" information in this week's e-mail, so be sure to scroll the whole way through!

We continue to pray that you will experience the riches of the Lord's presence during this time that we are not able to be present with one another!

ONLINE WORSHIP

Our pastoral staff are working together each week to record a worship service for our church family. The service will be available on the  HBIC YouTube Channel   on Sunday mornings by 9 am, as well as anytime thereafter.
WORSHIP-AT-HOME RESOURCES

The  Worship-At-Home Resource Page serves as a companion to the weekly worship video on the HBIC YouTube Channel and includes the song lyrics, the sermon scripture, plus some links for children. ...If you have more than one device and you'd like to see the lyrics to sing along, or have the sermon scripture handy to read along, you can have the video playing on one device while you follow along with the worship resource on the other!

May you experience the blessing of God
as you worship this week!

BABY BOTTLE BLAST

Each year our church participates in Capital Area Pregnancy Center's Baby Bottle Blast, which is typically held from Mother's Day to Father's Day. This year, however, the Baby Bottle Blast began on Father's Day, June 21, and will go through July 26.

We won't be distributing baby bottles for you to fill this year -- instead we encourage you to fill your own container with coins, bills, or a check (payable to CAPC, with our church's name on the memo line). ...We will provide info closer to the collection date (July 26) regarding turning in your donation.

More information about Capital Area Pregnancy Center can be found here.
PASSING ALONG INFO

Since we don't have use of a bulletin board right now, we're passing along info here that might be helpful...

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) announced that they will be opening up a financial assistance application process for renters and homeowners affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Applications for CARES financial assistance for renters and homeowners will be available June 29; application submissions can begin July 6. People who lost income due to the pandemic-related economic slowdown may be eligible for rent or mortgage assistance to help them stay in their homes. For more information, see the full press release here.

In short, applications for both rent and mortgage assistance will be accessible from PHFA’s homepage starting June 29. At that time, people will be able to click in a red banner on the website to access the applications and other helpful background information. The red banner is already live on the site advising people of the date applications will be available.

The PHFA’s call center is available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist the public and help with questions about the programs. The toll-free number is 1-855-U-Are-Home (827-3466). Callers should listen for the prompt mentioning CARES assistance for renters and homeowners.
