MNDOT COLLEGE DRIVE PROJECT MEETING

MnDOT would like to invite businesses to attend a virtual listening session on proposed intersection improvements to College Drive/Highway 19. 
 
Gene East, MnDOT Project Manager, will be presenting information on proposed improvements to College Drive/Highway 19, answering questions and taking input at two virtual meetings on Tuesday, June 30 th
 
The meetings are scheduled from 8-9 am and 9:30-10:30 am. 

These sessions will be held virtually on WebEx (not Zoom but very similar).

Minnesota Small Business Relief Grants
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) will oversee the Minnesota Small Business Relief Grants Program approved by the Minnesota State Legislature and signed by Gov. Tim Walz on June 16, 2020.

This program will make available $10,000 grants to Minnesotan owned and operated businesses that can demonstrate financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. A total of $60.3 million is available for grant awards which will be selected through a computer-generated, randomized selection process.

Awards will be disbursed and administered by qualified local and regionally based nonprofit organizations. Grant funds received by individual businesses shall be used for working capital to support payroll expenses, rent, mortgage payments, utility bills, and other similar expenses that occur or have occurred since March 1, 2020, in the regular course of business. These are grants and no repayment will be required.

Applications will be accepted BY LAW FOR A 10-DAY PERIOD BEGINNING Tuesday, June 23 through Thursday, July 2. Meanwhile, you can review eligibility criteria, see frequently asked questions and see what types of questions will be on the application.

Chamber E-Connection Guidelines and Policies
Newsletter Goals and Audience
The purpose of the Chamber E-Connection newsletter is to share our members' events with other business and community members. It is an informational newsletter and helps to promote our member businesses and their events. Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,800 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.

Newsletter Policy
E-Connection events are included based on requests from the member business. The following criteria are requested by the Marshall Area Chamber for event submissions:
  • Events flyers or submissions must be an actual event. We do not include sales or promotions.
  • Events can be included in the E-Connection for one week free of charge, and you have the option of adding one additional week for $20.
  • Submissions must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's E-Connection to be included email chamber@marshallmn.org
  • All event flyers are for Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce members only.
