NJHC LAUNCHES FIRST COMMUNITY VOICE SURVEY
Community Health Needs Assessment Update

"Sneak peek" of what we heard from the first 432 respondents:

Most respondents gave their overall well-being a score of 8 out of 10 where 10 represents the best possible life one can live.

NJ 2-1-1 PARTNERSHIP VIDEO
I mproving Health Outcomes Requires Teamwork

You will notice that NJHC's Community Voice Survey provides a link to NJ 2-1-1.  Ashley Anglin, Interim Chair of the Data Committee explains, "We wanted to give people taking the survey a resource so they had a place to go for support. NJ 2-1-1 seemed the best option because they can connect residents to a broad range of services with just a phone call, and are accessible 24 hours a day."  Sue Ross, Marketing & Communications Manager at NJ 2-1-1 elaborates, "NJ residents who need help finding affordable housing, food, utility assistance, and other basic needs, can dial 2-1-1 or text their zip code to 898-211 and we will put them in touch with existing community resources that can help. NJ 2-1-1 is free, confidential, multilingual and always open." To learn more about NJ 2-1-1 access the video  here.

You can also find a list of NJ 2-1-1 resources on the NJHC  website here. If you would like to update your organization's information or if you have suggestions about services to be added to NJ 2-1-1 email database@nj211.org.

NJHEALTHMATTERS WEBSITE SURVEY

In our recent website survey, 72.4% of respondents reported they are accessing the data dashboards, and 58.6% of respondents reported using the Community Health Improvement Plan pages. The most frequently cited reasons included to guide the work of my organization; to access demographic information (for grant applications and strategic planning); and to inform the work of a workgroup.

Tricia Pongracz, Executive Director at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum shared, "Macculloch Hall uses the demographic information clearly compiled and reported on the NJHC website to inform our educational programming and in reports to our funders, supporters and trustees. The data is one important benchmark by which the museum measures how successfully we are reaching the community, supporting wellness, wellbeing and education. To have this information at one's fingertips is simply invaluable."
