Happening (EYC Grades 10-12)
Register NOW for September 14-16 event

HAPPENING #101 is September 14-16, 2018. Happening is a Christian experience presented by teenagers for teenagers. It is designed for youth in grades 10 - 12 and sponsored by the Episcopal Church. Most young people have serious questions about Jesus and the Church. Happening is designed to address these questions. During a Happening weekend, participants experience the love of Christ as shown through prayer, worship, and the ministry of peers, clergy, and lay adults. The Happeners are encouraged to make their renewed faith a part of their everyday lives. Happening shows how Christianity can keep pace with the many changes in our lives and our world. The Diocese of Georgia holds the Happening weekend twice each year (fall and spring) at Honey Creek! Please contact Sarah Brittany Sandbach with any questions.  Register here for Happening #101.
Parents of college students
Parents of college students (attending locally, in-state, & out-of-state) The Daughters of the King has requested addresses for our college students so that they may send notes and small surprises to them during the year. As your children register for housing for the fall semester, please forward updated mailing addresses to the Parish Office. For more information, contact Betty Jean Givens.
Give a child the gift of music!

Why Music?
I. Music is a Science.
II. Music is Mathematical
III. Music is a foreign language
IV. Music is history
V. Music is Physical Education
VI. Music develops insight and demands research
VII. Music is Art
That's why we teach music:
Not because we expect your child to major in music.
Not because we expect your child to play or sing all his or her life...
But so your child will be more fully human,
So your child will recognize beauty,
So children will be closer to an infinite beyond this world.
So they will have something to cling to when life has challenges,
So they will have more love, more compassion, more gentleness, more good-
In short, more life.

Do you know someone who might enjoy singing in our choirs?  On behalf of Victoria Hammond, our St. Nicholas Choir director, Keith Shafer, our Canterbury Choir director and Director of Music, and everyone working with our youth, this is an invitation for you to consider inviting those you think might be good possibilities to visit a rehearsal & meet our youth.

New singers welcome, all ages!
The choirs have resumed rehearsals. New singers welcome, all ages! Adults, enjoy a Wednesday "date night" with child care provided. Teens and children participate in the St. Nicholas and Canterbury Choirs. Contact Keith Shafer, Director of Music, or by telephone (706)724.2485 ext. 215.

OPEN HOUSE September 6

In 2018 we celebrate the 100 th anniversary of our present building. To prepare ourselves for our "contemporary and forward moving" mission we have work to do. As we seek to serve the work of the Gospel there are improvements we need to make to bring our "old and beautiful" space up to contemporary standards.

As Saint Paul's Church rose from the ashes of the 1916 fire we now build on that foundation to be ready for the new life that is before us.

On Thursday, September 6, at 6:00 PM, all parishioners and friends of Saint Paul's Church are invited to an open house with heavy hors d'oeuvres and refreshments and opportunity to learn more about what lies before us. The event will begin in the church and continue throughout all our buildings and grounds.

Plan to be here!
