LATE FEBRUARY
SIERRA VISTA. Ongoing. February 23 & 29. March 1, 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, 28-29. April 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, 25-26. (2pm-4pm).
Outstanding musicians perform at the Arizona Folklore Preserve,in partnership with the University of Arizona South and Dolan Ellis, Arizona's Official State Balladeer. Check the website for a schedule of performances. Reservations are recommended.
SIERRA VISTA. February 27. (7pm-8:30pm). View the night sky with the 20-inch Ritchey-Chretien telescope and other instruments at the Patterson Observatory, weather permitting. Sponsored by Patterson Observatory and Huachuca Astronomy Club, these public nights provide viewers with possible sights of craters of the crescent moon, gas giant planets Uranus and Neptune, double stars, various star clusters, nebula, planetary nebula and distant galaxies.

SIERRA VISTA. March 7-8. (9am-5pm & 10am-3pm) Stroll amidst colorful wall hangings, vintage quilts and more. Daily demos, various sewing and quilting supply vendors, a boutique, and raffle offer creative inspiration for all who attend - whether you quilt or not. Quilt appraisals are available by appointment.
BISBEE. March 10-15.The
Fourth Annual Return of the Turkey Vultures Celebration includes a parade, Subway Street party, and After Party.
Live vultures, kids activities and lots more! Tuesday, March 10 showcases an evening presentation at the library. Most of activities will be Saturday, March 14.

APRIL
BISBEE. April 4-5. Warren Ballpark. Returning for its 11th year. The Arizona Territories Vintage Base Ball Leagu
e and the Friends of Warren Ballpark host the tournament. Teams are dressed in period uniforms and play by rules adopted when Lincoln was president. Come cheer or razz the local team, the Bisbee Black Sox.
- Gates open at 9am & games are played all day.
- Tickets: $15 for both days; $10 for one day.
- Kids 12 and under are free with an adult ticket. Active military are free on Sunday.
- Tombstone Brewing Company will serve local craft beer.

SIERRA VISTA. April 18. (7am-11am). The event raises funds for the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Southeastern Arizona to provide mental health education, advocacy, and support programs in Cochise, Santa Cruz, Graham, and Greenlee Counties. All proceeds benefit this worthy cause that services all citizens at no cost.

The Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra is proud to present its 25th season and Tora Tagawa, Conductor, for the spring concert "Spring Jubilee: 75th Anniversary of End of WWII." D

MAY

SIERRA VISTA. May 2. (5:45am-10:30am). The 8th Annual Sierra Vista Sunrise Rotary Rising Sun Run Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K takes place in the foothills of the scenic Huachuca Mountains in southeast Arizona. Event headquarters and the start/finish line will be at the corner of Buffalo Soldier Trail and St. Andrews Avenue, with event courses winding through country neighborhoods and Ramsey Canyon. Registration fees are $20-$65 through April 1. Registration fees increase after April 1. Participants registering by March 13 will be guaranteed a technical race shirt and race day swag bag.
