Greetings from Greater New Haven
A View from the Street: Yale Public Art & Architecture Self-Guided Tours
While the buildings of Yale University remain closed to the general public, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the exteriors of incredible architecture and outdoor public art.

Independent walking tours can be downloaded here: Architecture and Public Art

Student guided tours are not currently being offered as a safety precaution.

As always, we ask that you observe the public health protocols: distancing by 6 feet, frequently washing your hands frequently and wearing a mask that covers both your nose and mouth.

If you are interested in having some lunch after your stroll on a sunny day, here is a list of New Haven restaurants offering outdoor dining.

2020 Virtual Craft Expo
Greater New Haven has always loved the annual Guilford Craft Expo on the Guilford Green. This year, while still featuring 170 American Artisans' traditional and contemporary fine crafts, the event has gone virtual. With events canceled for public safety, this is a great opportunity to peruse beautiful offerings while supporting artists from around the U.S.

See a complete listing of participating artists, and take advantage of exclusive promotions being offered from the artists from July 17-19, 2020.

For the latest information on the virtual show, follow Guilford Craft Expo now on Instagram and Facebook. Start preparing your shopping list and enjoy the online gallery and the virtual shopping experience from anywhere!

Guilford Art Center thanks you for supporting the arts and this year’s 2020 artists!

Safe Stays
In addition to frequent reminders about what residents and visitors can do to keep themselves and others safe, our lodging properties, restaurants and attractions are doing their part as well. The Connecticut Office of Tourism hit the road throughout the state to video just some of the hotels, restaurants and attractions walking the walk when it comes to keeping their guests and employees safe.
