Library celebrating 20th anniversary of the U.S. publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Fredericksburg, Virginia, August 23, 2018 - Twenty years ago,
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was published in the United States. Central Rappahannock Regional Library (CRRL) is
celebrating with unlimited access to the eBook edition of
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and a Facebook giveaway.
Beginning Monday, August 27, through Monday, September 10, the eBook edition of
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone will be available for unlimited download through CRRL's OverDrive collection. Customers can download the eBook via web browser or OverDrive's popular
mobile app, Libby.
Additionally, each Monday for three weeks beginning on August 27, the library will post a Harry Potter-related question on its
Facebook page. Fans can respond up to 11:59 p.m. each Thursday, and a randomly selected winner will be chosen each Friday. Each winner will receive
Harry Potter: The Illustrated Collection, a box set containing the first three books in the Harry Potter series:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
