How Virtual Leaders Can Improve Quality and Add Value to your Organization:
A Case Study of a Virtual Chief Medical Officer

There is an increasing need for effective executive and physician leadership in healthcare organizations as reimbursement is focused on quality, patient safety, and patient satisfaction.

Over 50% of American hospitals have Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) or Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMAs) to assist in these areas. Outpatient clinics typically have a Medical Director overseeing quality care.  However, smaller medical centers and rural facilities frequently cannot afford the services of a full-time Chief Medical Officer or Medical Director but may have as great or greater a need.

This webinar will describe how healthcare facilities can utilized virtual executive and physician leaders in a cost-effective way to improve quality and patient satisfaction, resolve conflict, address disruptive provider issues, and develop on site physical leadership and in addressing preventative healthcare in communities throughout California.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the duties and responsibilities of virtual physician and healthcare leaders in organizations ;
  • Describe the value added/return on investment of virtual physician leaders;
  • Know how virtual leaders can improve quality care, resolve conflict, and reduce risk, and;
  • Explain the electronic resources and communication methods used by virtual leaders.
As a reminder, these webinars are FREE and open to all Healthcare Districts and community partners!
