Parents, students and families are invited to join the African-American Equity Task Force at “Anchored in Literacy,” an event designed to celebrate African-American families and students and focused on the importance of reading and writing in education. The event is 5pm-7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at Evie Dennis Campus Student Union Commons, 4800 Telluride St.

Please RSVP  here . This event serves as the kickoff to the African-American Parent and Family Institute, a series of workshops hosted by the task force dedicated to educating and informing families on how to navigate DPS’ systems and structures in order to best advocate for their student’s needs.

**PLEASE NOTE**

  • With inclement weather approaching us, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately. If the weather is above 32 degrees, students will go outside for recess time.

FROM THE FRONT OFFICE
If you plan on changing how your child gets home from school at the end of the day, please notify the office prior to 3:30. This will ensure that the information gets to your child in a timely manner.

We know that parking around the school is limited. Please be courteous of our neighbors and each other.  Please refrain from parking in front of driveways . Also, PLEASE do not park your car in the middle of the street and then run in to retrieve your child. This causes frustration for everyone, if you are experiencing difficulties finding a place to park, then you might want to adjust your schedule and arrive at the school a little bit earlier.

If you are going to be late picking up your child due to traffic conditions, please contact the school office at 720-424-6070. If no one answers, please leave a message.
