Community Planning and Development staff will discuss permits, codes, and ordinances relevant to the design and construction of commercial and multifamily projects in Denver. The presentation will highlight areas of known challenges, from administrative basics to complex or often-overlooked code sections. There will be ample time for Q&A.
- Learn the basics of electronic permitting, digital plan review, and time-saving e-permits tips
- Understand key topics of the Denver Building and Fire Code, National Electrical Code, and 8 ICC codes adopted in Denver
- Learn about Denver's requirement for green roofs and the ordinance amendments currently pending City Council approval
- Engage in productive Q&A on ambiguous code sections and/or local amendments
