21st Century Learning
As the world changes, so do the essential skills our students need to be successful. This is the 21st Century, and as educators, we want to ensure our students learn the essential skills, knowledge, and dispositions needed to succeed in their adult life. We are currently preparing students for careers that may not even exist yet, and to solve problems we may not even know are problems yet. Teachers are incorporating 21st-century skills such as; communication, collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity along with course content. Today's classroom may be more personalized than what you might recall from your own high school learning experience; teachers facilitate learning to individual students' needs, skills, and interests.
This shift in instructional practice is a journey, and we invite you to experience a taste of 21st Century Learning through our Learning Labs at Open House.
