For this year's AWQ program, alternative formats in the Current Events round of questions will once again be used in The Carlos and Malú Alvarez National 2020 National Competition. The questions we provide for local competitions, however, will remain fully multiple-choice. Councils are welcome to assess their capacity to adjust their local competition questions for this year or to continue with the multiple-choice-only model.
Great Decisions
The Foreign Policy Association will provide each participating Council with six complimentary copies of the 2019 Great Decisions Briefing Book. Indicate your request for these free copies by submitting your
Pledge Form
. Additional copies for use in Academic WorldQuest are available at a 60% discount and may be purchased directly from the Foreign Policy Association.
Please Note
: The Great Decisions 2019 Briefing Book is required study material for the National Competition.
However, the Briefing Book will NOT be required reading for local competitions.
