Art in the Link
The mid-August exhibit on the Link Wall will feature a collection of watercolor paintings by Marion Robbins.  Marion's interest in painting began with art classes while a student at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. She graduated from Carleton with a degree in Sociology and Art History. Marion continues her study of watercolor painting as a member of the DuPage Art League.

Marion and her husband, Rufus, have been first Pres members since 1991.
Food Pantry 
Our food pantries need DIAPERS in sizes 5 & 6; however, whatever sizes you have available will be appreciated. Grocery items needed include coffee, tea, cooking oil, condiments, fruit cocktail, apple juice, grape juice, orange juice, sugar, healthy gluten-free items, toothpaste, and women's personal products. 
Director of Middle School Ministry
First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Director of Middle School Ministry. This is a part-time (20 hours per week) position responsible for leading our Middle School Ministry for sixth through eighth grade.

The "Chix with Stix"

Mission

Seeking Hands and Hearts

We continue to collect diapers, wipes, baby food and formula, infant and children's clothing - all sizes, toys, adult clothing, and household items.  Please bring them to the Rotunda coatroom marked 'Roseland'.  Thank you in advance! School Preparations  
We are asking our congregation to help provide essential backpacks and
basic school supplies for local children in need.  Your donations will help

"Drive In" at the Courtyard - Family Movie Night
 August 24 at 7:00 p.m.
 
Join us for a family movie night in the courtyard "drive in" style!
The children will decorate a car to watch the movie in.  Parents bring a blanket or chairs. Popcorn and drinks will be  provided!

Blessing of the Backpacks In Worship August 19 at 9:30am

Bring your backpacks to church for  prayers and a gift for your backpack 
to start off the new school year! Drop off your backpack as you enter the Sanctuary and place them in front of the communion table so we can see the during the service! The children will collect them during the blessing.

WF High School News
Coming Up

August 15-Mini-WF Youth Group, 7:30-9:00 p.m.
We'll end small groups a little early, so we can have a mini-WF youth group night, including games, snacks and worship!

August 19-Sunday AM, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Come to worship at 9:30 a.m., and then join us in the Courtyard for a tasty treat and a short lesson after 9:30 worship!

August 26-Road Rally 6:00-8:15 p.m.
Meet in the Rotunda with your permission slip and a FRIEND (or Confirmand!) for our annual Road Rally scavenger hunt. The seniors are preparing a super fun and tough set of clues that will take us all around town on an epic hunt! There will be prizes and snacks to finish off this evening of intense competition! This event is one of the highlights of the year! You won't want to miss it!
