Would You Like to be a Internet STAR?
We are looking for 100 or more Scouts from across the Council to become internet Stars. As part of our marketing and media plans for this year we would like to have Scouting families send in a short video of your Cub Scout, Scouts BSA Scout, Venturing Scout, Sea Scout, or Explorer reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, Scout Law, or Scout Oath.
So, take ten minutes and video all of those aspiring movie stars in their Scout uniform and send them to Longhouse@scouting.org TODAY.
Videos should be less than three minutes and please ensure that there is no identifying images or words to your scout in the video. Please send with your unit number and family info in the body of the email.
Let's Re-Start Scouting
As the heat of summer increases many units are asking, (What can we do to get restarted?)
Here are a few things to take into account to help you decide what to do and to ensure it is safe.

First, before you do anything. Consult your Chartering Organization and discuss what they are comfortable allowing you to do. If they are comfortable with you holding a unit activity; then start planning.

Here are the steps to take to ensure a safe activity:

If you follow these steps and inform the parents, scouts, and leaders and they all feel comfortable to hold the activity; then you are all set.

Please contact the Council Service Center with any questions.

DAY CAMP 2020 is a GO!
Day Camps are a GO and we can't wait to have Scouts from ages 7 to 17 attending one of our spectacular Day Camp programs.
There will of course be some changes to how we run our programs to ensure the safety of the Scouts and volunteers that run these programs. We will have detailed info coming out about these changes and precautions coming soon. But, till then check out our videos and website for more info or to sign up today. We are excited to be one of the few programs still available to Scouts and their families.
We hope to see you at camp this summer.
