Clinical Information and Tools

Resumption of Cancer Screening Services

  • Routine breast and cervical screening: Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) is recommending that these tests be resumed in a gradual manner. To ensure a coordinated resumption of services, OH/CCO strongly encourages healthcare providers to work with regional partners (e.g., primary care, OBSP screening and assessment sites and hospitals).
  • Colorectal cancer screening: OH/CCO asks that primary care providers continue to refrain from sending FIT requisitions, while they work with LifeLabs to process requisitions sent in before March 23 and to allow for the increasing of colonoscopy services for the follow-up of abnormal FIT results. A communication will be sent out when new requisitions can be sent for FIT kits.
