| New Federal Overtime Rule |
The U.S. Department of Labor announced the highly anticipated federal overtime rule under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This final rule changes the salary level that must be met before certain employees can be exempt from overtime. What does this new law mean for California employers?

* Wear non-slip shoes (athletic or tennis shoes)
* Dress in layers as it is usually 10 to 15 degrees cooler on the water
* Apply sun screen, wear a hat and sunglasses
* Bring a camera and/or binoculars

The Dana Point Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the League of Women Voters Capistrano Bay Area and the Dana Point Times, invites you to participate in a Candidates Forum for those seeking election to the Dana Point City Council. The DPCC does not support or oppose candidates for elections, but endeavors to prese
nt the candidates to the electorate. The program schedule allows each candidate two minutes for an opening statement, followed by ninety minutes of written questions from the audience. The candidates are asked to limit their answers to one minute each. Responses to the questions will allow the audience to become familiar with major issues.

| BEEP BEEP! Here Comes the Dana Point Lantern District Car Show! |
The Dana Point Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Dana Point, will be hosting the Dana Point Lantern District Car Show on Sunday, October 23rd from 1pm-5pm. The event will be held on Del Prado between Old Golden Lantern and Amber Lantern, and will be free for spectators.
There will be great entertainment, hundreds of custom and classic cars, an added Motorcycle element, along with awards such as Best in Show, Mayor's Cup and more!
