Pacifica's Masters Swimmers are Animals
Pacifica's swimmers with CoastSide TigerSharks are very much like anyone on your masters team. Friendly, fun-loving, passionate about fitness and competition, men and women of all ages. Well, then the quarantine happened.

Coach Brad Pence, Founder & Head Coach, calls his swimmers "animals" for the behaviors they now exhibit. No, they aren't growling while chasing cats or dogs. Instead, they are swimming every single day, sometimes without a wet suit, at one of three locations: Linda Mar with rough ocean waves, Pillar Point protected by sea walls, or Aquatic Park in San Francisco.
The open water group of 8 - 15 men and women, range from the mid-30's to 68 years of age. They have become much closer in this time of social distancing. They are even wild in their pursuits of athleticism. They swim, then run, then throw big rocks for added strength building. Or they bike to the beach, swim and run.

The women in the group, nurses, are even more intense than the men. It's unreal. Coach Pence can't blame them because the intensity in their work is more stressful than ever before.
