Religious School Registration for 2018-2019 NOW OPEN

It is that time of the year again - time to register for the 2018-19 Religious School year!   Here is the link to the online registration form.

For those registering  students for N'tivot, our post b'nai mitzvah program, there is a two step process. You must fill out the online registration  AND  the N'tivot registration form which details the electives being offered.  For those rising 8th grade parents unfamiliar with the N'tivot program, here is the program description . The N'tivot registration form has been sent to all rising 8th-10th grade families and can be found here .
Contact  Michele Zuckerman , Director of Education and Youth Activities, if you have any questions.

RUJEC Openings!
RUJEC  - Sha'are Shalom's Early Childhood Center   has  2, 3 and 4-day  openings  in its half-day Preschool Program for Children ages 2-5

We are a Jewish, creative, values-based program welcoming all children. A RUJEC education offers caring teachers, a nurturing environment and hands-on, developmentally appropriate math and reading skills that prepare your child for kindergarten.  Call Sheryl or Allison at 703-737-0686 or email us at rujec@shaareshalomleesburg. org to get more information or to set up a visit!

We also have a weekly Adult-Tot Class for children ages 12-24 mos...and their people! Give us a call, even if your child isn't quite 12 mos yet! We'd love to meet you and have you get to know our warm and inviting community!

Religious School Staff Openings
The Religious School has an opening on our staff for a Wednesday afternoon 7th grade Hebrew teacher for the 2018-19 school year. Candidates must be familiar with the Conservative siddur prayer liturgy; ability to speak Hebrew is a plus but not necessary.  Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, motivated and excited to share their love of Judaism with their students. Good communication skills and ability to get along with both children and adults is a must.

Teaching experience is preferred, but we will provide training for the right candidates . Positions are available for Sunday and Wednesday or Wednesday only.

If you are interested, please submit a resume to Michele

Friday Night Oneg Sign Up
All CSS members are asked to set up, provide refreshments, and clean-up at our Friday evening Oneg Shabbat one time per year. Three families are assigned for each Oneg so that the chores are shared and we have an opportunity to meet one another.

With the start of the new fiscal year, we will  be sending out the link to sign up shortly. Be on the lookout!
