IMPORTANT UPDATES IN ALHAMBRA AND LOS ANGELES

CALIFORNIA AND L.A. COUNTY REINSTATES CLOSURES

Effective as of July 13, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced  an order to shut back down  additional categories of businesses d ue to the current surge in Covid 19 cases.

Under the new order, gyms, hair salons, barber shops, personal care services, tattoo parlors, shopping malls, places of worship, and non-critical offices must close their indoor operations in 30 counties across the state, including Los Angeles and Orange Counties. These new closures are in addition to an order earlier in July that reclosed indoor service at restaurants, bars, wineries, museums, and cinemas in 19 counties. Those closures will now expand to the entire state until further notice.
SUPPORTING DOWNTOWN ALHAMBRA BUSINESSES

If your are suffering from whiplash from the constantly changing orders, we feel ya! But now more than ever, our local businesses in Alhambra need us. While some have managed to tough it out and stay open, others have sadly closed temporarily, or permanently.

We've compiled a list of businesses that we know have decided to stay open and provide either takeout/delivery, limited outdoor dining, online or in person shopping, or online or in-person services. However, please note that circumstances of these businesses are changing on a daily basis, so the info we provide today, can be different tomorrow. To ensure you have the most updated info, please call businesses directly or go to their websites.

*Restaurants above are also open for takeout or delivery.
Restaurants Open for Takeout or Delivery:

Last month, the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce prepared a great list of restaurants that were open for dine in, as part of Phase 3 of L.A.'s road to recovery. The only thing that has obviously changed from that list is that "dine in" options are no longer valid due to the recently mandated re-closures. With those changes in mind, you can still refer to the list for takeout and delivery>> Please note that some businesses may have changed their status by the time this newsletter goes out. Please call ahead and check with the restaurants directly.
Other Alhambra Businesses Open for "In Person Shopping or Services":

BUSINESSES CAN HELP PROMOTE THE CALIFORNIA 2020 CENSUS!

I mportant information via the Annual Census must be gathered in order help shape the future, and recover our communities and economy. With an approaching deadline of October 31, 2020 for all households to complete this survey, only 60.8% of citizens have responded thus far. To help with this effort, " Ready Nation Census 2020 ," an official partner of the California Complete Count Census 2020 Office, is engaging the business community to help promote it.

If you are business owner, you can get access to free tools, posters, graphics, bags, signs, online forms and other collateral that help create awareness with customers. These same resources can also be used as for any reopening efforts. Remember that Data from the Census may be used to inform how companies grow, create new jobs, hire staff, launch products, and realize ROI in the coming years. These are all great incentives to take advantage of these tools .
