Just a friendly reminder that the first THREE weeks of school will be early start for grades TK/K through 3rd.  Staggered start schedules for grades TK/K-2 will begin on Tuesday, September 4th.

The schedule through August 31st is as follows: 

TK\Kinder: 8:15am-11:40am

1st-3rd grade students: 8:15am-1:55pm

The exception  is Wednesdays when ALL TK\Kinder students will attend 9:15am-12:55pm and ALL 1st-3rd grade students will attend from 9:15am-2:50pm. 

Walnut Grove PTA's first General Association Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd at 7:00pm.

If you are a part of the Walnut Grove community, we want to see you! These meetings are our chance to talk together about the PTA's enrichment offerings for the upcoming year, and discuss and approve the budget and calendar for the 2018-19 school year. 

But we can't do it without our voting members, and we seek your input. Come be part of your children's school community, and talk about the school-related issues you care about. This is a great way to make a difference, and we hope to see you there.

Have you donated for your child's school supply kit? If not, it's not too late!

All Roadrunners will receive supplies in their classrooms on the first day of school.  No need to wander the aisles of Target with a long list looking for just the right notebook - your student will have everything they need when they arrive to school!

The PTA helps supply these school kits to every student, and if you'd like to donate to cover the cost for your child, we appreciate it.  You may do so by visiting our online FutureFund store and selecting the applicable grade level supply kit for your child.

We have a new yearbook ordering process this year!!! 

Books will be available to purchase through April, and they will still be sent to Walnut Grove and delivered to students in the classroom during the last week of school.  We will not have any extra yearbooks to sell at the school at the end of the year, so buy yours now!

Books are $25.00, or for the first time, we are offering the option to purchase a hard cover book for $32.00.

In order to volunteer at Walnut Grove, in any capacity (school events, classroom events, field trips, etc.) you must must submit a Volunteer Clearance Form each year (even if you completed one last year). 

If you have not already filled out your form for THIS YEAR, please do so now!  Get a head start so the District has time to process your form in time for you to start helping out at school. 

As a side note, this year's Fun Run will be on  Friday, September 28th, and many volunteers are needed for this event, so sumbitting your form now is a great idea!!
