A note from the president
Hey friends,

This past week we got the Downtown Alliance's first initiative off the ground, quite literally, as we built out the Pop-Ups at Central Station. From putting together picnic tables to rolling out turf, it was a wonderful showing of community coming together to make great things happen. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you there in the coming weeks, either for a quick lawn game, some delicious food truck fare, or just to take a break from the office and enjoy the summer weather.

In the meantime, read on to learn about Lunar Startups' fist cohort and Lowertown’s First Friday options for a fun night out. Also, congrats to the entire team at Ecolab for their phenomenal success!

See you all around (down)town,

Joe Spencer
President
The Saint Paul Downtown Alliance
Introducing Lunar Startups' first cohort
Lunar Startups, launched earlier this year by American Public Media and housed at Osborn370, just announced its inaugural cohort of six early-stage companies led by a diverse group of entrepreneurs. The majority of the startups selected for the first cohort are led by a person of color, and more than half are led by women.

Join the Lowertown Underground Artists for First Fridays
The Lowertown Underground Artists are opening their galleries and studios to the public for the first Friday of every month from 6 to 9 p.m. Be sure to stop by this Friday, where you'll be able to enjoy local art as well as live jazz music by the Brad Bellows-Jon Pemberton Duo.

The space is located at 308 Prince St., and is also open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Thanks to all who helped us build Pop-Ups at Central Station!
