Creating a Healthy Oxford Community
Age-Friendly Oxford - A new community effort to make Oxford a great place to live for people of all ages

Please complete the 2018 Age-Friendly Oxford Survey
Your Opinion Counts!

Oxford has joined the national AARP Network of Livable Communities. Our community is taking the first step to make Oxford a great place to live for people of all ages by asking our local adults age 50 and above about their needs and preferences. You can contribute to this important initiative by completing an Age-Friendly Oxford survey. Your input will help direct a community action plan for making the Oxford area a more viable community for thriving throughout retirement and your later years.
If you received an Age-Friendly Oxford Survey in the US mail, you are part of the random sample for this study.   If you have not responded yet, a second survey was sent out to you on July 9th. The photo below is an image of what you received. Please complete your survey and return it in the enclosed postage paid envelope.

If you have NOT received an Age-Friendly Oxford Survey in the US mail, please complete the on-line survey available at  https://tinyurl.com/ageoxford  The initial target for this survey is adults age 50+ who are residents of Oxford or Oxford Township.
If you would prefer a paper copy, please call Scripps Gerontology Center at (513) 529-2914.
NOTE: All voices and needs are important. All survey responses will be confidential and there is no solicitation associated with this survey.

Go. See. Tell.
These words have changed lives throughout the history of Oxford Presbyterian Church. In 1953, Rev. Ed Fairman and Marion heard these words and responded by planning a year of travel to Presbyterian mission sites around the world. You may read the story they tell in the pages of The Tumbling Walls which is featured in our church library.

Today, the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program sponsors travel study seminars around the world. These travel study seminars provide Presbyterians with the opportunity to learn firsthand from our mission partners about efforts for peace, justice and reconciliation. Participants return from these travel study seminars informed and transformed by their experiences, ready to share stories and bear witness to all that they have seen and heard.

Travel study seminars are planned in partnership with World Mission staff and mission co-workers and in cooperation with our partner denominations and organizations. Click the following link to learn more about Korea in November 2018, Rwanda in March 2019, Ukraine, Poland and eastern Russia in April 2019, Philippines and Hong Kong in May 2020 - https://www.presbyterianmission.org/wp-content/uploads/2018_2020-TSS-Flyer.pdf
Faith in Action

Thank you for supporting the Deacons Children's Food Drive. Through your generous giving we were able to collect $195.00 in monetary donations and deliver 200 pounds of food to our neighbors at the Oxford Community Choice Pantry.
Congregational Concerns

Our sympathy and prayerful support are extended to Connie Everhart and her sister, Becky. Their father, Paul R. Everhart, passed away Thursday, August 2nd in Hamilton, OH.

Please keep Connie, Becky, Pat (step-mother) and the entire family in your prayers and care during this time.
Living Into Hope
Miracles are a retelling in small letters
of the very same story which is written
across the whole world in letters
too large for some of us to see.
