CVB Hosts Leading Pacific Rim Travel Buyers
Last month, the Santa Clara Convention & Visitors Bureau dba
Visit Santa Clara hosted 25 Southern California based Japanese and Chinese travel buyers to a presentation on the Santa Clara destination. The presentation was followed by a networking reception where Santa Clara representatives were able to network with these important potential clients. Joining the CVB team were reps. from the Intel Museum, Hyatt house, and the Plaza Suites.
Participating travel buyer companies included Japan Travel Bureau (JTB), Nippon Travel Agency, Tour America, Trans Orbit USA, Rakuten Travel, Kintetsu International Express, I Tour Service of America, Destination America, TPI America, and Grand Holidays. Among the comments received were: "I really appreciate your presentation and am impressed with the things to do in Santa Clara. I will share all of the information introduced to our sales department in China." Currently, there is direct air service from San Jose Int'l. Airport to/from both Beijing and Shanghai, China as well as from Tokyo, Japan.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau's (CVB) online Calendar of Events has expanded to include over 100+ Santa Clara events. Visitors can see what's happening in Santa Clara by visiting
The Calendar includes event listings and photos from the city's key stakeholders including California's Great America, City of Santa Clara Parks and Recreation, Levi's Stadium, Mission College, Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara University, and the Triton Museum of Art, among others.
