September 30 - October 4 is Spirit Week at North Catholic! Spirit Week is run by Student Council and this year, the Student Council will continue the tradition of the
Car Smash
on that Friday afternoon. If any parent would like to help find a car to smash, or knows of a way to obtain a car, please email

THEMES OF SPIRIT WEEK
The Student Council has come up with themes for each day of Spirit Week and students are encouraged to participate! Prizes may be awarded on specific days! Please see below for recommended garments, as well as parameters associated with each day.
The following items ARE NOT appropriate throughout the week, regardless of theme: Leggings or yoga pants, ripped jeans, tank tops. All shorts must be finger-tip length.
Sleepy Monday:
Students can pajama-like clothing or comfortable wear
Students are encouraged to wear robes (clothing underneath), slippers, onesies, teddy bears, blankets, etc.
Twin Tuesday:
Dress as identical as possible with one or more other students. Prizes will be awarded! Specific themes for each group are encouraged.
Wacky Wednesday:
Students wear a specific costume or dress like fictional characters or a famous person. Prizes will be awarded and the judges will be looking for an unmistakable resemblance to the character being portrayed. No masks covering the face may be worn during class, though masks are permitted in the hallways. Masks must be removed upon teacher request.
Throwback Thursday:
Students are encouraged to wear distinct clothing from a specific time period before the year 2000 or dress as someone younger than their age. Prizes will be awarded! Please do not dress "like yesterday".
Color Friday:
Students are asked to dress in the designated colors by class. T-shirts will be distributed and students may embellish their ensembles with face paint, streamers, headbands, etc. Class colors are as follows: Freshmen - Gold; Sophomores - White; Juniors - Red; Seniors - Black
SPIRIT WEEK EVENTS
The Student Council has come up with the following events to celebrate Spirit Week:
Hall Decorating
- Monday, September 30
Students are to bring plenty of items to decorate their specific hallways and lockers with their class color: Freshmen - Gold; Sophomores - White; Juniors - Red; Seniors - Black
Hallways are to be decorated with streamers, banners, ceiling hangings and random objects in the designated class color. Hallways are to be decorated for one half-hour during an advisory period.
Spirit Week Day Zero
- Friday, October 4 will consist of multiple events to encourage fun and school spirit, including a school-wide Lip Dub video (more details to follow), a pep rally, a powder-puff tournament (flag football) and tailgate (with lawn games and a dunk tank), and the car smash.
