Pool to open + other district updates  
The Skokie Park District is now in Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan. The following are reminders and updates for this week. 


The Skokie Water Playground is opening!

The Skokie Water Playground is set to open in mid-July, after pool management hire and train staff, fill the pools and ready the facility to be safe for all customers during the current pandemic. (The Devonshire Aquatic Center will remain closed this summer.)

Stay tuned for an official opening date announcement, as well as COVID-19 pool user guidelines.


Drive-In Movie: The Addams Family (2019)

Join us for the animated version of The Addams Family, the Skokie Park District's first-ever drive-in movie! 

Skokie Sports Park East will be converted for one night into a drive-in theater, with strict COVID-19 guidelines observed. Gates will open at 7:30 p.m.; the movie will start promptly at 8:30 p.m.

Thursday, July 23  /   Tickets: $15 per car. Tickets online TBA .

Register for Summer Camp 2.0! 

Residents may register now for Summer Camp 2.0 and other Skokie Park District programs. 



Please follow COVID-19 playground regulations

Park district playgrounds are now open, but please be advised that the equipment is not sanitized, therefore patrons use playgrounds at their own risk and under the following rules:
  • Maintain a distance of at least 6-feet from others at all times.
  • When not with your stay-at-home group, wear a mask (covering your mouth and nose).
  • Carry hand sanitizer and sanitize frequently, and immediately after touching equipment.

Update to public skating hours

Public skating will begin at the Skatium Ice Arena on July 11  and will be held on Saturdays, 1:30-3 p.m. and Sundays, 12:30-2 p.m.
