Keep your family safe with these summer tips
If there's one guarantee in Texas, it's that summers are hot. As the official start of summer is right around the corner, keep these tips in mind to keep your and your family safe and cool.
BTU extends rate reduction through end of month
Customers encouraged to get current on bills
At their last meeting, the BTU Board of Directors extended a rate-reduction measure that results in an approximate 15% reduction in customers' electric costs through the end of June.

Customers who may be behind on their accounts are encouraged to begin making payments. BTU will resume assessing late penalties on June 15 and begin disconnects for non-payment on July 15.

Tiffany Park and Tanglewood Park splash pads now open
The splash pads at TIffany Park and Tanglewood Park are now open for use. When enjoying the splash pads, residents should continue to practice social distancing and stay 6 feet away from others who do not live in the same household.
Rental assistance now available to Bryan residents
City of Bryan residents who are renters may be eligible for grant funds to assist with rent, security deposits and utilities through the city's HOME Investment Partnerships Program. Applications are available now.

Assistance for Bryan small businesses now available
Small businesses in Bryan that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible for up to $30,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant working capital funds to create or retain low- to moderate-income employees. Applications are available now.

Help send off Salvation Army officers with drive-by parade
Members of the public are invited to participate in a "honk-and-wave" farewell drive-by parade for Bryan-College Station Salvation Army Captains Paul and Analese Ryerson. The Ryersons are being relocated to Georgia after four years in the BCS community.

The parade is Friday, June 19 at 5:15 p.m., beginning in the Bryan Square Shopping Center, 2104 S. Texas Ave.
