Avoid Stauffer-Flint construction areas during the fall semester
You will notice plenty of construction happening in and around Stauffer-Flint this fall, and we want to make sure you are informed and safe while the J-School undergoes an amazing transformation, which will be completed by the end of this semester.

Here are some important things you need to know:

  • There are no classes in Stauffer-Flint this fall.
  • Most of the building is off-limits to students and visitors, but stduents may still may access Student Services, the Career and Outreach Office, the JBar and the Resource Center only through the doors on the west side of the building (near Wescoe). Please make an appointment for a visit to the Bremner Editing Center.
  • The main entrance is closed and off-limits.
  • Crews are still working on replacing the elevator, but it is not functional at this time.
  • Use of the first floor is restricted to the Student Services office, the Career and Outreach Center, the JBar and the restrooms.
  • Use of the second floor is restricted to the Resource Center, the restrooms and the dean’s office.
  • On the exterior, only authorized construction personnel are allowed inside the fenced area.

Go to the  J-School website  to learn more about the renovation, and watch the construction as it happens via our  livestream cam  set up on the first floor.

Have questions? Email us at  jschool@ku.edu  and we’ll get the word out to everyone.
