Sexual Harassment of Women:
Climate, Culture and Consequences in Academic Science, Engineering and Medicine

The NYU Tandon School of Engineering and the Tandon Women Faculty Committee is hosting a lecture by President Hillman from Mills College on Sexual Harassment of Women: Climate, Culture and Consequences in Academic Science, Engineering and Medicine. President Hillman has been a working member of the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine blue-ribbon study committee and she will speak about the report's findings and ways to combat harassment in academia.

Below is the tuition and fee refund schedule for Fall 2019. To receive a 100% tuition and fee refund, Fall 2019 courses must be dropped by Sunday, September 1, 2019. Any courses dropped after this date will incur charges of tuition and fees as detailed below and on the  Academic Calendar .
  • September 23, 2019  Last Day for 50% Refund (tuition only)
  • October 15, 2019      Last Day for 25% refund. 0% thereafter.

The Hugo Neu Corporation Sustainability Seminar Series organized by the MS program in Sustainability Management is an effort to connect our students to professionals in the field of Sustainability. This is a weekly series sponsored by Hugo Neu Corporation. Cosponsors are BEM Systems. Brown and Caldwell, Geosyntec Consultants, and H2M Architects and Engineers.  The seminars happen every Wednesday between 5:00 – 6:00 PM in Altorfer 501; refreshments are provided. They are also webcast live using Blackboard Collaborate. The next lecture is scheduled on Wednesday, September 18 th where Katherine Lawrence of City of Jersey City will talk on ‘Moving Towards Sustainability in Jersey City”. Save the Date: October 23, 2019 Excellence Through Diversity Lecture Series
Through an interactive theatre workshop professionally facilitated, actors will depict workplace scenarios and identify research-based strategies to improve equity and inclusion. Open to faculty and staff, choose from two sessions:10-12:30 or 2-4:30.
Parking Permit Application Process
Eligible full-time employees may now apply for parking permits for the 2019-20 school year by clicking on the “Employee Parking Permit” link on myStevens and providing the required information. Please make sure you have access to a printer when you complete your application as you will have to deliver a copy of your application to the Howe Center information desk. Permits will be available for pick-up beginning Wednesday, August 28. You should contact Patrick Fitzgerald at  pfitzger@stevens.edu   if you want to confirm your permit is ready to be picked up.
Eligible adjunct and part-time employees must complete a parking permit application that will be available at the Howe Center information desk starting today, Monday, August 26. You will be given further instructions about permit pick-up when you submit your application.

New Shuttle Guidelines
Stevens Transportation and Parking has Shuttle Guidelines for the first time. These guidelines dictate the proper use of the Stevens Shuttle service by students, employees, and visitors so that the shuttles remain a safe mode of transportation for the Stevens community.
