Important Information from Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs 
Effective May 21, 2019 there is a requirement by OBNDD for prescribers to indicate on the face of the prescription whether the opioid is for "Acute Pain" or "Chronic Pain."   In the instances that this information is left off of the prescription, the pharmacist has the ability to contact the prescriber for clarification, and add this information to the back of the prescription.
