NEPA Alliance will be hosting its Annual Dinner on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at  Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, Pocono Manor, PA.

Dennis Davin This year's Keynote speaker will be Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary, Dennis M. Davin. 

Last year our Annual Dinner was attended by over 300 business and community leaders from around the region.  This year's event is sure to be another great networking opportunity.

NEPA MPO Approves 2019-2022 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) 
The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA), designated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Schuylkill counties approved its 2019-2022 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) on July 17, 2018. The TIP identifies the region's highest priority transportation projects, develops a multi-year program of implementation and identifies available federal and non-federal funding for the programmed project phases.  The 2019-2022 TIP documents can be viewed here

Business Finance News
NEPA Alliance has several loan products available for small businesses in Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne Counties.
 
These low cost, low interest loans offer reduced down payments and standard loan term maturities for machinery and equipment, land and building acquisition, construction and renovation.  Loan rates are fixed and generally below the prime lending rate.
 
Eligible businesses include Manufacturers, Industrial, Agriculture/Agribusiness, Hospitality & Tourism Related Enterprises, Recyclers, Day Cares, Computer Related Services, Advanced Technology, and Retail and Service Related Businesses.  Other business sectors may also qualify.

NEPA-BFC NEPA Alliance Business Finance Corporation has Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loans available for eligible small businesses in Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne Counties.
 
Financing Structure

A bank or other lender finances 50% of the project cost and takes a first lien position on the assets financed. The SBA 504 loan NEPA-BFC Tree finances 40% of the project cost up to $5.5 million and takes a second lien position. The borrower then contributes a down payment of as little as 10%.

PTAC Services
The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) at the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance is the only PTAC covering Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne Counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The Center has been in existence for over twenty-five years. The PTAC serves as a liaison to help local companies, usually small businesses increase sales and growth for our regional economy. NEPA's PTAC staff provides marketing and technical assistance to qualified, competitive companies who wish to bid on government contracts and also works with government agencies to help locate suppliers in the region. The tools available from NEPA's PTAC can help companies market their products and qualify their business to be a leading contender in winning a contract with a local, state or federal agency.
