This Week at the Levitt Pavilion
Sept. 27-29
Blues, boot-scootin' & jazz!

Friday:  The Peterson Brothers make a return visit to the Levitt at 8 p.m. These brothers combine youthful energy and modern influences with old-school blues,
soul and funk to create a sound that is uniquely their own. The Peterson Brothers have toured throughout the United States, and have played with and opened for Gary Clark Jr., Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Buddy Guy, and the late B.B. King. With a standing-room-only weekly residency at Austin's famed music hall, The Continental Club, The Peterson Brothers have been referred to as "the future of Austin music" by Mark Murray of Sun Radio and "some of the most talented musicians out of Austin" by Jamfeed. Their concert is presented by Hooligan's and Kool Keg.

Saturday: Listening to music from country/rock quintet Eleven Hundred Springs  is like having your cool uncle pull out his favorite albums. They have that old-school country sound down. They bring their home-grown, foot-stompin' Texas style to the Levitt stage at 8 p.m. presented by Sheraton Arlington. While they may not look like the stereotypical country band, the tradition and spirit that make up true Americana is there and in their nine recordings together.

Sunday: Each fall, the Levitt partners with its neighbor, the University of Texas at Arlington, for a night of jazz on the lawn showcasing their UTA Jazz Orchestra. This year's concert features Fort Worth native and jazz saxophonist,  Quamon Fowler,   husband, father, musician, educator and entrepreneur, who has followed his passion for performing and teaching for more than 25 years. He's known world-wide for his musical skills on the saxophone and the electronic wind Instrument. He placed third in the 2008 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition and is an artist in residence for the School of Church Music at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. Quamon's concert with the UTA Jazz Orchestra is at 8 p.m.
