Staffing updates:
Please welcome our new band director, Ms.  Amy Wightkin!
A message from Ms. Wightkin:
I am so excited to begin my first year at Loyola! I am originally from Sioux Falls, SD and graduated high school from O'Gorman Catholic High School. I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. I enjoyed playing in the St. Olaf  Band , St. Olaf Philharmonia, St. Olaf Percussion Ensemble, and being a member of the clarinet and percussion studios. Some of my favorit e memories are from t he St. Olaf  Band  tours that took us all over the country and even abroad!
Prior to coming to Loyola, I taught band at Faribault Middle School along with the guitar and music technology classes. I also worked at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan during the summers while in college. Additionally, I worked as a Program Assistant with Minnesota Music Educators Association before my time in Faribault.

Currently I play in the Owatonna Community Band and have played for summer musical productions through Rosetown Playhouse in Roseville, MN. I am a Minnesota Twins fan and used to work part time at Target Field as an usher! I enjoy biking, hiking, and knitting in my spare time. I live in Owatonna, MN with my husband Ethan who is also a music teacher! We just got married this summer on July 8th.
