Billy Kemp

Sunday, August 5th @ 3:00 pm

Baltimore native Billy Kemp for an afternoon concert. Kemp is a musician, songwriter, singer, composer and producer. He is a
multi-instrumentalist but is best known for his tasteful and inventive guitar playing.

Registration is not required, but is appreciated.

Meet the Author: Nadia Hashimi

Saturday, August 18th @ 2:00 pm

Nadia Hashimi is a pediatrician, an internationally bestselling author, a first generation Afghan-American and a public speaker. She has written three novels for adults and two for children inspired by the history of Afghanistan and the ongoing struggles of families. She lives with her husband and four children in Potomac, Maryland and also serves as a board member for Aschiana Foundation, an organization that supports educating and feeding Afghanistan's most vulnerable children.

Sign Language Class

Tuesday's in August @ 6:00 pm

Join us for a four week Intro to American Sign Language Basics 1 class taught by Deafnet Association. This class is free and is sponsored by the Smithsburg Library Advisory Board. The textbook is $20.
