President's Note

Thank you to all who volunteered last week!  We had many events and while they were busy they were also all ran smoothly.  This week ends our Box Tops competition, so if you still have any clipped tops be sure to send them in.  We are also gearing up for the Mother/Son race on the 29th.  Sign ups are going live on our website, so check out the event details below.

And while the "deadline" has passed we are still trying to reach our goal of raising $24,000 in Support Our School funds.  These funds account for 1/3 of our budget and allow us to not sell coupon books, food items, or other fundraising goods.  If you have not already participated please do so.

If you are not receiving this newsletter via email, please sign up via our website at hcespta.com.

Mother/Son Race

September 29  3-5pm

Teams consist of mother and son(s).  Teams with more than two people should alternate team members at each task to ensure only two people are competing at any given point.

Teams are encouraged to create a "team" costume.  Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the race as well as most creative costume.

All sign up is online on the PTA website shop.  Sign up is free for PTA members and $6.00 for non-members.  Buffs are also available.  They are the same design as previously.

Reflections

Reflections submissions deadline is 10/25/19

This year's Reflections theme is "Look Within"
Students may enter multiple times within a category.  Students may also enter multiple categories.
The six categories are: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts

After School Enrichment

Club releases will occur outside of the school , at the front porch by the main entry doors.  Parents are not authorized to enter the school to pick their children up from clubs.  All parents must wait outside for club leaders to bring the children down and sign them over to their parents.

We recognize this is a new procedure and request parents do not enter the school to wait even if a club leader indicates it is allowed.
