Fear of recurrence and scanxiety (feeling anxious about an upcoming scan or while awaiting scan results) are very common experiences for people living with cancer. Join UCSF psychologist Dianne Shumay, PhD, as she discusses this experience and offers evidence-based strategies to help us effectively cope with these difficult feelings. We will also hear directly from brain tumor survivors who discuss how they experience and manage these fears. Brain tumor survivors are invited to stay after the show for the opportunity to meet one another face to face and continue the discussion.
